The Passionfruit Theatre is an intimate music venue in the heart of Athlone. Seating 50, with an in-house sound system, sound engineer, it is especially suited to traditional and acoustic music. We host mainstream as well ans unknown or up-and-coming acts; with acts such as John Spillane, Eleanor McEvoy and Damien Dempsey, traditional artists such as Oisin MacDiarmada and John Wynne, singer/songwriters and many local acts over the past year. 

Our agenda is one of openness and inclusion; we do not privilege  any one style of music (but do insist that it be acoustic or unplugged) We especially welcome local or Midlands acts.
